Brazil (update)
On 22 December 2022, the Civil Defense of the state of Minas Gerais of Brazil, provided an update regarding the heavy rains occurring in the state. According to the report, 6155 people were evacuated (429 increase since the prior report) and 101 municipalities declared an emergency (5 increase since the prior report). Guatemala
On 22 December 2022, the Guatemala National Coordination System for Disaster Reduction (CONRED per its acronym in Spanish), provided information regarding the incidents associated with the temperature decrease season in the country. During the season there were 23,060 people affected, 66 people evacuated, 31 were sheltered, and 18 homes were damaged. As of 22 December, there were 8 open shelters and 16 persons housed among 3 of them. The report is available at: CONRED
