Peru (Update)
On 21 March 2023, the Peru Civil Protection (INDECI per its acronym in Spanish), published updated information on the effects of the heavy rains in the departments of Lambayeque and Tumbes. In the department of Lambayeque, there were 3,320 people (1,449 increase since the 15 March report) and 1,248 homes affected (417 increase). In addition, 313 homes were destroyed (142 increase). In the department of Tumbes, there were 1,287 people (937 increase since the 14 March report) and 487 homes affected (346 increase); additionally, 11 homes were destroyed (7 increase).
