On 20 November 2023, the Rio Grande do Sul Civil Protection, Brazil, published information on the effects of the heavy rains reported. A total of 63 people were injured, 10,187 were displaced, more than 194,000 people were affected and 4 deaths were reported. A total of 35 shelters were opened in 10 municipalities (Arroio do Meio, Colinas, Cruzeiro do Sul, Encantado, Estrela, Lajeado, Muçum, Roca Sales, Santa Tereza and Taquari).
