Ecuador (Update)

On 20 June 2024, the Ecuador Risk Management Secretariat published updated information on heavy rains affecting the canton of Baños De Agua Santa, in the province of Tungurahua, Ecuador. There have been 1,101 people affected (74 increase since the 16 June report), 27 people injured, three people are reported as missing (decrease of seven), and 14 deaths have been reported (seven increase). Wildfires

United States of America (Update)

On 20 June 2024, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) provided updated information on the wildfires in the counties of South Fork and Salth, in the state of New Mexico. In South Fork, mandatory evacuations were issued for 8,000 people, 600 homes were destroyed, and two deaths were reported. In Salt, mandatory evacuations were issued for 1,000 people. A total of 15 shelters were opened statewide and long-term care facilities and nursing homes were evacuated on 19 June. The report is available at: FEMA
