El Salvador (Update)
On 18 January 2023, the Civil Protection of El Salvador provided an updated report regarding the recent earthquake. According to the report, 291 home were affected (43 increase since the prior report) and 180 of these were destroyed (38 increase since the prior report). There is 1 shelter open, housing 30 people. United States of America (Update)
On 18 January 2023, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), provided an update on the heavy rain and flooding in the state of California. Mandatory evacuations remain in effect for 5 counties, affecting 1,434 people (decrease of 33 counties and 2,566 people since the 16 January report). There are 17 shelters housing 552 people (decrease of 11 shelters and 338 people since the last report). Additionally, 475 National Guard personnel were deployed to Sacramento and Santa Clara.
