United States of America (Update)

On 17 August 2023, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), published an update on the wildfires in Hawaii. There have been 111 deaths reported (5 increase since the 16 August report) and 67 patients were treated with fire-related injuries at Maui Memorial Center. In Maui County 10 shelters (2 increase) were opened with 279 occupants (42 decrease). In addition, 4 generators were installed to provide temporary power to two water wells and two pump stations. The report is available at: FEMA
