Peru (Update)
On 17 May 2023, the Peru Civil Protection (INDECI per its acronym in Spanish), provided information on snowstorms affecting the districts of Matalaque, Puquina, and Ubinas in the province of General Sánchez Cerro, in the department of Moquegua. In Matalaque and Puquina, at least 40 homes, 2,864 livestock animals, and 38.5 hectares of crops were affected. While in Ubinas, 479 homes in 12 population centers were affected.
