United States of America (Update)

On 16 October 2024, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) provided an update on the impact of Post-Tropical Cyclone Helene in the United States. In the state of Florida, eight shelters remained open housing 334 people, 66,000 people remain without power, and 23 deaths were reported. In the state of North Carolina, 13 shelters are open housing 570 people, 10,000 people remain without power, 339 potential hazardous material incident locations were reported, and there were 95 deaths reported. In addition, media is reporting there remain over 100 people missing in North Carolina.
