On 16 February 2024, the National Institute of Civil Defense (INDECI per its acronym in Spanish) provided information on the landslides caused by the heavy rains in the districts of Chalhuanca, Ancoccayo, and Pauccaraya, in the department of Apurímac. According to the information, in the district of Chalhuanca 2 deaths and 7 destroyed homes were reported. Roads and power services were affected. The report is available at: INDECI
