On 14 March 2024, the Uruguay National Emergency System published information on the heavy rains that affected the central and southern parts of the country. According to the report, 8,556 people nationwide are affected by a power outage. In the department of Canelones, 17 people were displaced and 13 were evacuated and four self-evacuated. In the department of Flores, ten homes flooded. In the department of Florida, there were 92 people displaced, 32 evacuated, and 60 self-evacuated.
