Severe Weather 

Colombia 

On 14 June, the Bucaramanga Mayor’s Office reported heavy rains in Bucaramanga, Colombia that caused floods, clogged sewers, fallen trees, and the overflow of streams. Firefighters, Civil Defense, Police, Risk Management, and teams from various government departments have been assisting the affected population. The Municipal Cleaning Company (EMAB as per its acronym in Spanish), has been carrying out cleaning efforts with machinery since 13 June. According to a media report, 145 families have been affected by the heavy rain, and the neighborhood of San Martín has been the most impacted with 20 affected families. United States of America  

On 15 June, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) reported flooding caused by moderate to heavy rainfall and melting snow across the Yellowstone River Basin which includes Yellowstone National Park and the cities of Livingston and Red Lodge with populations of 8,000 and 2,200 residents respectively. There have been 3,200 people evacuated from Red Lodge, 1,000 of which were tourists; 350 people were evacuated in Park and Carbon Counties, and Cooke City and Silver Gate have become isolated due to the flooding of major roads. There are 6 shelters open with 11 occupants statewide. There are boil water advisories for Red Lodge, Fromberg, all flood-affected areas of Stillwater County, and Gardiner is under a Do Not Drink order. At least 8 bridges have been washed away by the floods in Stillwater and Carbon Counties. The report is available at: FEMA.  

 

Wildfire  

United States of America (Update) 

On 15 June, the United States FEMA reported that the Pipeline Fire in Coconino, Arizona has burned 20,178 acres and is 0% contained. The number of mandatory evacuations has decreased to cover 2,100 residents, 3,100 houses and 50 structures are being threatened by the fire, and 2 houses have been destroyed.
