On 15 July 2024, the Panama National Civil Protection System (SINAPROC per its acronym in Spanish) delivered humanitarian assistance to the families in the districts of Las Tablas and Tonosí, Panama, affected by heavy rains. The report indicates 120 families were affected. The severe weather led to the overflow of the Flores River in Tonosí causing flooding. Sinaproc has conducted damage and needs assessments.
