Chile (Update)
On 15 February 2024, the Chile Ministry of the Interior and Civil Protection (SENAPRED per its acronym in Spanish) informed that 7 areas remain in red alert due to the wildfires in the country. There were around 5,387 people affected (719 increase since the 8 February report) in the regions of Valparaíso (n=5,256), O’Higgins (n=96), Maule (n=9), La Araucanía (n=11), and Los Lagos (n=4). A total of 132 deaths were reported and 1,250 people were injured. The report is available from: SENAPRED
