Guatemala (Update)

On 14 August 2023, the Guatemala National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (CONRED per its acronym in Spanish) published an update on the rainy season in the country. There have been 598 severe rain weather incidents reported (8 increase since the 11 August report). At least 1,562,007 people were affected (1,189 increase), 19,429 people were attended to (341 increase), 4,574 people were evacuated (252 increase), 248 people are sheltered, and 8,908 people are considered at risk (8 increase). Wildfire

United States of America (Update)

On 14 August 2023, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), published an update regarding the wildfire Hawaii. A total of 93 deaths (38 increase) and 20 injuries have been reported. In Maui County 6 shelters were opened with 707 occupants, 4,510 customers are without power 4 water wells with intermittent interruptions to power impacting 300 households.
