Brazil (Update)
On 14 January 2025, the Civil Protection of Minas Gerais provided updated information on the heavy rains in the state. According to the report between 27 September 2024 and 14 January 2025, the report indicates 25 fatalities (an increase of 1 since the 13 January update) and the displacement of 3,553 residents due to weather-related incidents (an increase of 1,777). Wildfires
United States of America (Update)
On 14 January 2025, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) provided an update on the wildfires affecting Southern California. In Los Angeles County, 106,000 mandatory evacuations remain in effect (increase of 900 since 13 January report), and 7 shelters were opened housing 705 people. To date, there were 2,944 homes destroyed (1,127 increase) and 11,096 damaged. The report is available from: FEMA
