On 13 March 2024, the Peru National Institute of Civil Defense (INDECI per its acronym in Spanish) published information on the heavy rains that occurred on 12 March in the district of Molinos, Junín Department, and in the district of San Juan, Áncash Department, on 10 March. In the district of Molinos, there were 161 people affected and 63 people directly impacted; additionally, 54 homes were affected and 21 were destroyed.
