On 13 February 2024, the Chile Ministry of the Interior and Civil Protection (SENAPRED per its acronym in Spanish) declared red alert due to the wildfires in the commune of San Pedro, Chile. Ecuador
On 13 February 2024, the Risk Management Secretariat of Ecuador, provided information on the heavy rains that occurred on 12 February in the province of Manabí, Ecuador. Flooding occurred in several sectors due to the Convento river and the Gaspar stream overflowing. There were 60 people and 15 homes affected and people have been evacuated from the affected sectors.
