On 11 2023, the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development of Argentina, reported 5 active wildfires in 5 provinces of the country (Catamarca, Jujuy, Tucumán, Córdoba, and San Luis). The Government of Córdoba is working to support the people affected by the wildfires in the south zone of Punilla. Media reported that at least 800 people from the municipality of Cabalango, in the province of Córdoba, were evacuated due to the wildfires.
