Brazil

On 11 July 2023, the Brazil Agency of Communication (EBC per its acronym in Portuguese), published an update on the heavy rains in the state of Alagoas, Brazil. According to the information, more than 7,000 people were displaced (15,030 decrease since the 10 July report) and 32 municipalities declared a State of Emergency (one increase). Ecuador

On 12 July 2023, the Ecuador Risk Communication Management Department published information on heavy rains affecting the canton of Flavio Alfaro in the province of Manabí, where the rains have caused the Oro and Pescadillo rivers to overflow. There were 1,000 affected families and several sectors are without power. In addition, the rain has led to the suspension of drinking water services and educational activities in four establishments. United States of America (Update)

On 12 July 2023, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), published updated information on the heavy rains in Northeast region of the country. In the state of Vermont, 21 search and rescue teams were activated and conducted 88 rescues. Additionally, four long term care facilities were evacuated, 65 evacuations of the population were performed, all state buildings were closed on 11 July, and seven towns are under boil water orders.
