On 11 December 2023, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) informed that between 9 and 10 December, a total of 25 tornado touchdowns were reported between the Lower Mississippi Valley and Ohio Valley region of which 13 were reported among 11 counties in the state of Tennessee. To date a total of 91 structures have been destroyed and 675 sustained damages. A total of 3 shelters are open housing 43 persons and six deaths were reported. While energy disruptions are minimal, the state of Tennessee is partially activated with a state of emergency declared, while Alabama and Kentucky are on standby.
