On 11 February, the Guatemala National Coordination System for Disaster Reduction (CONRED per its acronym in Spanish) reported a total of 4,758 people have been sheltered in centers operating nationwide since low temperatures began in November 2021. In November 158 people were sheltered, in December 1,523 people were sheltered, and in January 2,315 people were sheltered. So far in February, 762 people have been housed. There are currently 10 centers that are operational in the departments of Quetzaltenango, Sololá, Totonicapán, Quiché, Guatemala, and Alta Verapaz. The report is available at: CONRED.
