United States of America (Update)     

On 10 January 2023, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), provided an update regarding the flooding in Northern California. There were 14 deaths reported (3 increase since the prior report). Mandatory evacuations were issued in Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara, Sacramento, and Solano for more than 50,000 residents and 2 nursing homes. In addition, 3 schools (decrease of 1 since the prior report) in the affected area remain closed. Currently a total of 30 (increase of 2 since the prior report) county Emergency Operation Centers (EOC) are activated. To date, 15 shelters are active (increase of 2 since the prior report), housing 236 people (decrease of 134 since the prior report). There are 30,000 of people without power, and Los Angeles and Sacramento were the most affected area. The report is available at: FEMA
