On 31 August 2023, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), published information regarding the passage of Hurricane Idalia. In the state of Florida, 114 shelters were opened (20 increase since the 30 August report) with 4,924 occupants (17 increase), and 114,000 people were without power. The Emergency Management and Homeland and Security of the state of Georgia, reported that 88,042 people were without power. Additionally, media is reporting two deaths related to the hurricane in the county of Pasco, Florida. On 31 August 2023, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), published information regarding wildfires in Louisiana, United States of America. According to the report, a wildfire that started on 24 August has burned more than 8,500 acres and is not contained. There were 253 primary homes threatened and mandatory and voluntary evacuations are in effect for approximately 600 people. The report is available at: FEMA
