Guatemala

On 31 July 2023, the Guatemala National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (CONRED per its acronym in Spanish) published an update on the rainy season in the country. There have been 417 severe rain weather incidents reported (57 increase since the 26 July report), of which 50 occurred on 29 and 30 of July. At least 1,036,847 people were affected (119,507 increase), 9,310 people were attended to (1,885 increase), 8,696 people are categorized as at risk (16 increase), 3,618 people were evacuated (534 increase), and 129 people are being sheltered (35 increase). Mexico (Unofficial)

On 31 July 2023, media published information about heavy rains on 29 July in the state of Veracruz, Mexico. Media is reporting that more than 600 homes were affected by the flooding. According to the information, the affected municipalities are Minatitlán, Cosolecaque with 5 affected neighborhoods, and Zaragoza with two neighborhoods also flooded.
