United States of America (Update) 

On 15 April, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), provided an update on four ongoing fires in the state of New Mexico. The Big Hole Fire in Valencia is now 60% contained and there are no longer mandatory evacuation orders in effect in the area. The Hermits Peak Fire in San Miguel is now 33% contained and has burned 6,276 acres. There remain 300 residents under mandatory evacuation orders, 600 houses remain under threat, and 6 non-residential commercial/other minor structures were destroyed. The McBride fire in Lincoln has grown to cover 6,012 acres and is 0% contained. There remain 500 residents under mandatory evacuation orders, 1,000 houses are threatened, 200 houses were destroyed, and 2 fatalities were reported. The Nogal Canyon Fire is also in Lincoln and has burned 391 acres and is 4% contained. There remain 200 residents in the area who remain under mandatory evacuation order and 3 houses, and 7 non-residential commercial/other minor structures were destroyed.
