Guatemala (update)
On 30 August 2024, the Guatemala National Coordination for Disaster Reduction (CONRED per its acronym in Spanish) updated their information regarding the ongoing rainy season, reporting there were 1,555 related incidents nationally (17 increase since the 28 August report). As of 30 August, there were 8,380 affected persons (40 increase), 23,518 evacuated persons (198 increase), and 28 deaths reported (four additional). In addition, 8,380 homes were affected, of which 7,261 presented moderate damage, 472 with minor damage, and 377 were severely damaged. The affected infrastructure includes 595 roads (4 increase), and 43 bridges (1 increase). The report is available from: CONRED
