On 4 September 2020, the National Emergency Operation Center (COEN), reported cold winter weather affecting Yanas District in Dos de Mayo Province, Peru since 3 August. To date, 206 families and 128 hectares of agricultural land were affected. In addition, the report indicates 234 people have presented with respiratory infections. Colombia  
On 2 September 2020, the Disaster Risk Management for Santander Department in Colombia, reported heavy rain and floods in Cimitarra and Landazuri municipalities. Landslides affected the road from the town of Barichara to the town of Guane. Media reported more than 500 families were affected due to landslides and 48 towns were affected in Bucaramanga City.
