On 3 September 2020, the Guatemala National Coordinator for the Reduction of Disasters (CONRED) reported heavy rain since May in the country; 96,314 people have been affected, 8,157 persons evacuated to homes of family members, and 484 people were housed in shelters. To date, 17 people have been injured and 14 deaths occurred due to the inclement weather. In addition, 1,533 homes are at risk, and 4,187 households, 164 roads, and 8 bridges have been affected.
