On 14 September 2020, the Guatemala National Coordinator for the Reduction of Disasters (CONRED), reported heavy rain occurred yesterday morning affecting 3,000 people in the village of Lo de Diéguez, Fraijanes City in Guatemala Department. Hurricane Sally (Update)
United States of America

On 15 September 2020, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NOAA) reported that Hurricane Sally is 85 miles south of Mobile, Alabama and 90 miles southwest of Pensacola, Florida, with sustained winds of 80 miles per hour. A Storm Surge is in effect for: Mouth of the Mississippi River to the Okaloosa/Walton County Line, Florida and Mobile Bay, Alabama. Sally is expected to be a dangerous hurricane when it moves onshore along the north-central Gulf coast. The report is available in English at: NOAA

Wildfire
Bolivia

On 15 September 2020, the Government of Santa Cruz Department in Bolivia issued an emergency alert for the region of the Chiquitania due to wildfires affecting 393,648 hectares of land. Currently, there are 19 active fires affecting the following municipalities of Santa Cruz Department: Concepcion, San Ignacio, San Matias, San Rafel, Cabezas, Valle Grande, San Antonio de Lomerío, and Postervalle. On 15 September 2020, media reported heavy rain in Potrerillos, Mendoza Province, Luján de Cuyo Department, Argentina, where landslides at the top of mountain damaged the Junta de Agua dam. The dam and the pipeline were destroyed due to landslides, affecting the supply of water for 4,000 users in Potrerillos and Paso Hondo communities.
