On 10 September, the Honduras Permanent Contingency Commission (COPECO) issued a yellow alert due to risk of floods in Comayagua, Francisco Morazan, Choluteca, Lempira, Copan, and Ocotepeque departments. Media reported heavy rain and an overflow of Ulua and Chamelecon rivers affected the Ramal del Tigre sector, Tela Municipality and La Fragua and El Progeso cities. On 9 September 2020, the Oregon Office of Emergency Management in the United States, reported wildfires occurred 8 September causing thousands of persons to be displaced. Media reported, fires were burning in seven Oregon counties and 16,000 people were told to abandon their homes. Separately, in Loma Rica, Yuba County, California, a wildfire sparked overnight and mandatory evacuations were held for 3,000 people.
