On 8 October 2020, the Mayor of Remedios Municipality, Antioquia Department in Colombia reported heavy rain and landslides affecting the Remedios-Segovia road. Media reported more than 17,000 people were left isolated in Remedios due to landslides and the following municipalities are on red alert: Yarumal, Caracolí, Uramita, Alejandría, Concordia, and El Retiro. In addition, landsides caused health brigades to be suspended since the road is affected and medical personnel is unable to travel.
