Hurricane Zeta

On 29 October 2020, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NOAA), reported that Hurricane Zeta is moving toward the northeast near 48 mph (78 km/h).  An even faster northeastward motion is expected later today. Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts. Additionally, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) reported that Louisiana has issued voluntary and partial mandatory evacuations for approximately 27,000 persons. In Mississippi, there is a mandatory evacuation for the City of Gulfport Municipal Marina and all low-lying areas of Hancock County as well as voluntary evacuations for low-lying areas of Jackson and Harrison counties, and in Alabama, voluntary evacuations has been decreed for low-lying areas of Mobile County.
