On 1 October 2020, the Paraguay National Emergency Secretariat (SEN) reported wildfires occurring in several parts of the country. In addition, media indicated that the Congress of Paraguay declared a national emergency due to large fires fueled by winds of 50 km/h and high temperatures. The risk assessment is ongoing. On 2 October 2020, media reported heavy rain and an increase in water levels in several rivers in Sucre Municipality, Miranda State, Venezuela, affecting the following communities: Botalón, El Manguito, La Curva, Querequere, El Naranjo, San Pedrito, and Raúl Leoni Parish.
