On 18 October 2020, the National Emergency Operation Center (COEN), reported low temperatures over the weekend in Torata Municipality, Moquegua Department, Peru where 443 people were affected. In addition, the report indicated, 256 cases of respiratory infections were recorded due to severe weather. On 19 October 2020, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), reported a fire in Jamestown, Colorado started Saturday, 17 October, and has burned 3,000 acres of land in or near Jamestown. There are 500 homes, 750 buildings, and powerlines reported as threatened by the fire and mandatory evacuations were in effect for 1,000 people.
