On 3 November 2020, the Government of Nicaragua declared a red alert for the Northern Caribbean and Triangulo Mimero areas in Nicaragua. To date, in Pacific Region, Central, and  South Caribbean regions of Nicaragua, 6,000 families are housed in shelters. In addition, media reported landslides in Triagulo Mimero, more than 30,000 people were affected, and 30,159 homes were left without electricity. El Salvador Civil Protection, the Panama Government, and the Honduras Government (COPECO) declared a red alert for several departments due to Hurricane Eta. Media reported floods affected the areas of Tela, Yoro, and Cortés, Honduras and 200 people were evacuated.
