On 25 May 2020, the Guatemala National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (CONRED) published information regarding the impact of heavy rains during the past weekend (23 and 24 May 2020). Per the report, a total of 1,731 persons were impacted, 61 persons were evacuated, and 34 houses were damaged in the departments of Chimaltenango, El Progreso, Quiché, Zacapa, and Chiquimula.
