On 14 May 2020, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) reported an 8,000-acre wildfire in Collier Country, Florida, which broke out on 13 May as two separate fires and merged into one overnight. So far, 600 addresses are under mandatory evacuation north and south of Interstate-75, which was temporarily blocked due to the fire.
