On 30 March 2020, the National Emergency Operation Center (COEN), reported that on 28 March, heavy rain caused a landslide in the Huacrachuco District, Marañon Province of the Huánuco Region. According to the report, a total of 110 houses were affected (30 are no longer habitable), a bridge was destroyed (affecting traffic), and basic services such as potable water and electric power were disrupted affecting 35% of the Huacrachuco Distric.
