On 24 June 2020, the Mexico National Coordination of Civil Protection (CNPC) reported that 6 people died, 4 were injured, 500 houses were affected, and 15 health centers were damaged due to the 7.4 magnitude earthquake that occurred near Crucecita, on the coasts of the state of Oaxaca on 23 June 2020. On 23 June 2020, media reported heavy rains and overflowing stream causing flooding in 6 neighborhoods of Donmatías Municipality, Antioquia Department, and affecting more than 100 families. Other affected municipalities in Antioquia include El Santuario municipality, where the overflow of a ravine affected 170 people from 45 houses; Marinilla municipality where 5 houses were flooded; and Vegachí Municipality, where 250 inhabitants were evacuated preventively.
