Tropical Storm Amanda (Update)
El Salvador and Guatemala

On 2 June 2020, the Guatemala National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (CONRED) reported a total of 123,747 persons affected due to heavy rain and floods (an increase of 1,305 from the previous report on 1 June) due to Tropical Storm Amanda. Similarly, the Government of El Salvador reported that 24,873 families were affected (an increase of 748 from the previous report on 1 June) and 7,886 persons are housed in shelters (an increase of 661 from the previous report on 1 June). In addition, on 2 June 2020, media reported reported that nearly 5,100 homes in El Salvador were damaged and at least 185 are in danger of collapse due to the storm. Tropical Storm Cristobal
Guatemala

On 2 June 2020, the Guatemala National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (CONRED) reported incidents caused by Tropical Storm Cristobal. In the department of Jutiapa, 180 persons were affected and 30 houses were damaged due to the overflow of the La Paz River. In Alta Verapaz Department, 19 persons were evacuated and 19 were attended to due to floods. In Peten Department, mudslides caused damage to houses in Laguna Larga, La Libertad, and Petén, which affected 36 persons, displaced 6 persons, and caused severe damage of 6 houses. Similarly, the collapse of drains due to heavy rain in Sayaxche affected 75 persons. Lastly, the collapse of a house due to rains in Chiquimula Department caused the death of 1 person and injured 2 persons. The report is available in Spanish at: CONRED
 
Honduras (Alert)
On 2 June 2020, the Honduras Permanent Contingency Commission (COPECO) has extended a 48-hour Yellow Alert for the departments of Copan, Ocotepeque, Lempira, Intibuca, La Paz, Comayagua, Francisco Morazan, El Praiso, Choluteca, and Valle, due to Tropical Storm Cristobal. Mexico (Alert)
On 2 June 2020, in Mexico, the United States National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) reported that the tropical storm is expected to bring additional heavy rainfall to several states (Tabasco, Veracruz, Campeche, Chiapas, Quintana Roo, and Yucatano) which could cause life-threatening flash flooding and landslides. Additionally, media has reported that 1,200 temporary shelters have been activated in Yucatan, Mexico, in preparation for the hurricane season.
