On 9 June 2020, the United States National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS) reported that 90.2% of Puerto Rico is in a drought 10% of which is in severe drought. Additionally, 2,108,000 residents are reported to be experiencing drought. The report is available in English at: NIDIS

On 12 June 2020, the Chile National Emergency Office of the Ministry of the Interior (ONEMI) reported that heavy rains affected several communes in Metropolitan, O'Higgins, Maule, Ñuble, Biobío, Araucanía, Los Ríos and Los Lagos regions. In Biobío region, 30 homes were affected in Talcahuano Commune and 60 houses were affected in Concepción commune. Additionally, media reported extensive flooding and loss of power for 45,000 customers in Santiago Metropolitan region and Los Lagos region, and 4,500 customers in Ñuble region. On 12 June 2020, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency reported that Big Horn Fire, a forest fire in Pima County, Arizona, is burning in the Catalina National Forest, Catalina Foothills, and Oro Valley, which have a total population of 15,000. The fire is located approximately 10 miles from Tucson City. A total of 7,400 homes, 9 multiple residences, 12 nonresidential commercial structures, local fire stations, schools, residential power distribution lines, species habitats, and a watershed are threatened by the fire. Mandatory evacuations are in effect. According to media reports, the fire has consumed more than 7,000 acres to date, while containment remains at 10%.
