On 12 July 2020, media reported heavy rain causing landslides and damage in at least 10 municipalities in Oaxaca State, as well as the death of 2 people. The affected municipalities include San Antonio Eloxochitlán, Huautla de Jiménez, San José Tenango, San Mateo Yoloxochitlán, Cuyamecalco Villa de Zaragoza, and Santa María Tlalixtac, where heavy rains caused overflow of rivers and the collapse of the sewer system.
