Guatemala (Update)
On 1 February 2021, the National Coordinator for the Reduction of Disasters (CONRED), provided an updated report on low temperatures affecting several areas of Guatemala. A total of 4,425 people (an increase of 553 people since the last update on 25 January) were housed in 8 shelters in the departments of Guatemala, Sololá, Quetzaltenango, Quiché, and Totonicapán. Chile 
On 1 February 2021, the National Office of Emergency of the Interior Ministry (ONEMI) of Chile reported, heavy rain affecting several communities in the regions of Coquimbo and Los Lagos in Chile where 362 people suffered injuries and 436 people were housed in 12 open shelters. To date, 42 homes were completely destroyed. In addition, media reported that 1,353 persons were left isolated in the Butalelbún and Trapa Trapa communities (Biobio Region).
