On 7 December 2020, the Tabasco Government in Mexico, reported heavy rain and river overflows affecting several families in the municipalities of Jonuta and Centro, State of Tabasco. Media reported that 36,000 people were affected in the following municipalities: Centro, Cen-tla, Emiliano Zapata, Jalapa, Jonuta, Macuspana, Nacajuca, Paraíso, Tacotalpa, and Teapa.
