On 31 August, the Honduras Permanent Contingency Commission (COPECO) reported that 10 departments of the country are under a yellow alert due to heavy rain caused by tropical storm Amanda. Media reported several shelters are open to house families affected by landslides in the La Lajas and Ojos de Agua municipalities, Comayagua City.
