Tropical Storm Laura

On 17 August 2020, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NOAA) reported that tropical storm Laura is located 210 miles south east of the Northern Leeward Islands. A tropical storm warning is in effect for Puerto Rico (Vieques and Culebra) and the U.S. Virgin Islands. In addition, the following governments issued a tropical storm warning: Saba, Saint Eustatius, Sint Maarten, Saint Martin, Saint Barthelemy, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Anguilla, and Montserrat. Tropical storm Laura is expected to produce maximum amount up to 8 inches of rain over Puerto Rico, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic.
