On 11 August 2020, media reported heavy rain and an overflow of the Uairén river in Gran Sabana Municipality, Bolivar State, Venezuela, affecting 400 families. In addition, the following areas were affected by floods: El Guayabal, El Nazareno, La Pasarela, Los Pinos, Manakrü, Keewey 2, Caño Amarillo, and Brisas de Dios.
