The webinars “WHO Certification Scheme: the way forward in globalized world” will be held virtually on the 29th and 30th March 2023. The two webinars will be organized as briefing sessions for the Member States participating in the WHO Certification Scheme on the Quality of Pharmaceutical Products Moving in International Commerce, to increase the awareness of National Regulatory Authorities of WHO Member States on the main principles of WHO Scheme, while focusing on its implementation, explaining the revision process, and giving an update of the current version.
WHO Certification Scheme on the Quality of Pharmaceutical Products Moving in International Commerce is an international voluntary agreement to provide assurance to countries participating in the Scheme about the quality of pharmaceutical products moving in international commerce.
Objectives of the webinars
The objectives of the webinars are as follows:

To increase the knowledge and awareness of National Regulatory Authorities on the main principles of WHO Certification Scheme on the Quality of Pharmaceutical Products Moving in International Commerce

To explain the revision process and give an update of the current version

To provide clarifications and seek feedback on the implementation of the Scheme

To enhance the implementation process promoting discussion, questions, and answers.
Audicence
It is expected that the meeting will be attended by more than 150 registered participants from National Regulatory Authorities, representatives of industry associations, and other interested stakeholders. Regional Offices will receive invitation and be requested to support reaching out to NRAs to promote registration.
