Active case-finding is a quality control tool for routine epidemiological surveillance that makes it possible to detect cases of vaccine-preventable diseases (VPD) which may or may not have been reported to the system.
The Comprehensive Program on Immunization of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) will hold a regional webinar to present the document on active case-finding for acute flaccid paralysis, measles and rubella. The webinar will include interactive exercises to facilitate the implementation of the active case-finding. This webinar is aimed at health care workers related to epidemiological surveillance activities for AFP, measles and rubella.
