SARS-CoV-2 activity continued to decrease overall. In Canada, influenza was at baseline levels. In Mexico, influenza activity continued to increase at moderate-intensity levels. In the United States, most of the country reported an early influenza activity increase, with H3N2 predominance. Overall, in the subregion, RSV circulation continues to increase.
Caribbean: Influenza activity remained low across the subregion, predominating the influenza A(H3N2) virus circulation. In Haiti, SARS-CoV-2 activity continues elevated.
Central America: Influenza activity remained low, with influenza A(H3N2) predominance and the co-circulation of influenza B/Victoria. An increase in influenza activity was reported in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Nicaragua. SARS-CoV-2 activity continues to increase in Costa Rica and decrease in Panama. RSV activity is increased in the subregion.
Andean: Influenza activity remained low, with the predominance of influenza A(H3N2) and co-circulation of influenza B/Victoria. Overall, SARS-CoV-2 activity was low in the subregion, while RSV activity increased in Colombia.
Brazil and Southern Cone: Influenza activity has increased in the subregion, with influenza A(H3N2) predominance and co-circulation of influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 and influenza B/Victoria. Argentina and Chile reported increased influenza activity, while RSV activity remains high in Brazil and Uruguay.
